Cameroon – Mfoundi: Mfoundi Patriarchs Say Embezzling Money Is Not Worst Than Burning The Flag, So Paul Biya Should Free Their Brothers Also
In a letter to the President of the Republic, Paul Biya, the Mfoundi Patriarchs Association believes that the Beti who are being imprisoned for embezzling public funds do not deserve more prison than the anglophone protesters who burned the national emblems.
The Patriarchs of Mfoundi explain that the magnanimous act of Paul Biya towards English prisoners was inspired by God Himself. So he should extend his generosity to Beti prisoners who have been staying for several years in prison.
For “the unity and peace of Cameroon can not be achieved without the Mfoundi and without the Center region”
According to Émile Onambélé Zibi, president of the Patriarchs Association of Mfoundi, this letter is not an injunction to the President of the Republic. “We simply tell him to extend his generosity to his other sons.
