Soldier lands in trouble after bedding 14 year old maid

A SOLDIER stationed at Darwendale was punished by the court for bedding his 14-year-old maid and attempting to attack a police detail who wanted to arrest him over the offense.

Seven Munetsi,of Glen Norah in Harare,was slapped with US$500 fine after a Harare magistrate found him guilty of having se_xual intercourse with a minor.

Magistrate Fadzai Mtombeni had initially sentenced Munetsi to six months in prison but wholly suspended the prison term on condition that he pays the US$500 fine.

Munetsi was also fined US$100 for resisting a police officer after he attempted to attack the police detail who wanted to arrest him with a hoe when he visited him in Glen Norah.

The 31-year-old soldier was taken t court facing two counts of rape but was found guilty of having se_xual intercourse with a minor after a full trial.

State counsel,Ressy Nyamombe,had it that sometime in October 2015,during the night,Munetsi sneaked into the room where his maid was sleeping along with his children.

He then lifted the 14-year-old and took her to his bedroom where he reportedly raped her.The girl attempted to shout for help but Munetsi threatened to give her a thorough hiding.He also threatened to beat her in the event that she revealed the se_xual abuse to anyone.

Munetsi is said to have taken advantage of his wife’s absence when he first se_xually abused his maid.On February 25 this year at around midnight,Munesti did the same and ordered her to undress.The girl reportedly refused before he forcibly undressed her.

Munetsi was said to have se_xually abused the girl before threatening to beat her.The 14-year-old took the matter to the police the following morning leading to Munetsi arrest.
