In his statement issued after the work, the SDF Chairman, "asks Mr. Biya to put an immediate end to the war he has declared and to the spiral of violence to which the local population is paying the highest price, all things that are counterproductive and seriously affect the socio-economic stability of the regions concerned.

The main opposition party also holds the government responsible for escalating this conflict that has degenerated into an "open civil war" in these two regions. According to the balance party, the Anglophone crisis is the work of the Biya regime.
