Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson Named The World’s ‘Sexiest Man Alive’

He becomes the magazine’s first non-white sexiest man alive in 20 years.

American weekly magazine of celebrity and human-interest stories, People, has named Dwayne “the Rock” Johnson as its sexiest man of the year.

He beat the likes of England’s Prince Harry, Drake, Nick Jonas, Jay Hernandez, Patrick Dempsey and Trevor Noah to the award.

The wrestler turned actor was crowned during an appearance on the Ellen DeGeneres Show where he said he can easily and gladly take over from last year’s winner David Beckham.

2016 has been a good year for Johnson as in addition to his sexy accolades, Forbes declared him the highest paid actor in Hollywood, with the star earning $64.5 million between June 2015 and 2016.

The proud father of two daughters believes his family dynamics have shaped his whole being and have helped him whatever he has today.

He also told People about his troubled times as a teenager growing up in Hawaii.
“I was doing a lot of things that I shouldn’t have. I was getting arrested multiple times,” Johnson said, “but at the same time, always very respectful to my teachers and elders. I was unsure of who I was and who I wanted to be”.

Johnson stars in Disney’s upcoming animated release ”Moana” as a voice actor. He voices the Hawaiian demigod Maui, and the movie opens in theatres on November 23.
