Maze Runner filming to restart... but not until February

Production on the next Maze Runner film looks set to restart again in February 2017.

Filming on Maze Runner: The Death Cure had to stop in March when Dylan O'Brien was left seriously injured after being involved in an accident on set.

Dylan, 25, plays Thomas in the films which have grossed almost £500m.

He's also known for playing Stiles Stilinski in the US TV series Teen Wolf.

Production was supposed to start up again in May but that was postponed to give the actor more time to recover.

Dylan O'Brien going 'to be just fine'

Earlier this year Fox moved the release date for the film back to January 2018.

Now Deadline reports that crew and cast schedules have all been worked out and filming looks set to start early next year.

The location of the shoot has also been moved but the new setting has not yet been revealed.

Maze Runner: The Death Cure is being directed by Wes Ball. The script by TS Nowlin has been adapted from the books by James Dashner.

Dylan's accident took place in Vancouver, Canada, when he fell from the roof of a moving vehicle. He fractured either his cheekbone or orbital socket.
