Cocaine Positive: Orlando Pirates Player Banned for Drug Use
Orlando Pirates midfielder Thandani Ntshumayelo has reportedly been banned from playing football for four years after testing positive for a class A drug.
According to a Power FM report, a statement from the South African Institute for Drug-Free Sport revealed that Ntshumayelo confessed to snorting three lines of cocaine at a party.The 26-year-old said he was influenced by his friends to do so and admitted he had made a mistake.
The Bucs star testified that he knew the substance was cocaine and that it was illegal for him to use it.

Ntshumayelo's sentence was handed down last Tuesday (23 August) and he has 21 days to appeal from that day onwards. It is not known if his sentence could be reduced if he were to launch any appeal at this stage.
SAFA's head of communications, Dominic Chimhavi, told Soccer Laduma: "We have received information from the SAIDS, however I can't comment on the matter until I receive further information." - Daily Sun
