Kirsty Wins Silver in Monaco
ZIMBABWE'S Olympic Games-bound swimmer Kirsty Coventry had a good outing at the Mare Nostrum Tour meet in Monaco, France, at the weekend where she claimed two silver medals.
Coventry scooped silver on Saturday in the women's 200-metre backstroke and repeated the same feat yesterday in the 100m backstroke.According to reports from Monaco, Coventry who will be representing Zimbabwe at the Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, in August -- came second in 2:10:97 behind five-time world champion Katinka Hosszu of Hungary in the 200m swim.
Hosszu, from Hungary, was the first to touch the wall in 2:09:58.

It was the same story as Coventry claimed another silver in 100m backstroke in 1.00.67 yesterday. She had posted a time of 1:01:71 in the semi-finals.
In the final, Coventry came second behind Hosszu, who won the gold medal in 1:00:10. On third place was Anastasia of Russia (1:00:70).
In Rio de Janeiro, Coventry will be competing in the 100m and 200m backstroke events when she makes her fifth straight appearance at the Olympics this year.
