Jah Prayzah Speaks On 'Mudhara Vachauya' Album

"We got some response on several social media platforms, but I am not sure if we managed to have a breakthrough with that collaboration

We are still to make a conclusion about its impact." Many theories have emerged since contemporary musician Jah Prayzah announced that his upcoming album will be titled "Mudhara Vachauya".

Music pundits have questioned who the old man (mudhara) being referred to by the artiste is.

The album title has triggered a number of theories with some suggesting that he was underrating all the albums that were released during the year.

Alick Macheso released his album "Tsoka Dzerwendo" that has taken the industry by storm while Mtukudzi will be releasing his album "Eheka Nhai Yahwe" this month and Leonard Zhakata will also be dropping his new release on July 1.

The musicians are popular in the music industry but theories have since suggested that the lanky crooner has already sent warning shots.

Others suggest that he was warning his copycat Andy Muridzo, who has released an album "Ngarizhambe", about the coming of real stuff.

Muridzo's album is doing well on the local market and if the response is anything to by, then the young musician is bound to be another success story.

With Jah Prayzha's new album launch slated for August 12, his peer Suluman Chimbetu has announced that he will release his album "Havasikutiziva" in the same month.

The names of the albums have left many wondering if there are clashes between the two artistes.

Chimbetu and Jah Prayzah have however, denied all that and at one point they hosted a "Friends Forever" gig that was well attended.

In a recent interview Jah Prayzah who is aware of the theories said it was just a title.

"This is just a title though people are taking it in different ways," he said.

Some of the songs on the album are "Goto" a popular traditional song "Seke Mutema", "Tsotsi" "Hossana" and "Mudhara Vachauya".

"This time we have more party songs because I have realised that most of my albums are loved because of those songs," he said.

He is working with three top producers in the country Mono Mkundu, Munya Vhiya and Oskid.

"We are trying to have different sounds and I am optimistic that the trick will work out."

His background has inspired some songs that have deep lyrics.

He has for the past years worked with several musicians with Jamaican star Luciano being one of them.

Did the collaboration yield results for the high riding musician?

"We got some response on several social media platform, but I am not sure if we managed to have a breakthrough with that collaboration. We are still to make a conclusion about its impact," he said.

The musician is not yet sure if he will have a collaboration on the coming album.

He is set to have a double launch in Harare and Bulawayo.

"We have a strategy this year and our product will be affordable and available in many places as soon as it is released."
