Freeman in Botswana success

DANCEHALL star Freeman is ecstatic following the success of his debut show in Botswana over the weekend.

HKD Boss, as the chanter is fondly known, is happy with the response he got in the neighbouring country.

“The response was overwhelming, people loved the music and the performance. It was like performing before a home crowd,” his lieutenant Watson ‘Watta’ Kafela said.

“We have been in several countries and this was the first time to be in Botswana but it felt like home,” he added.

The chanter took to Botswana his latest album MangomaIhobho, which has managed to hold its own locally with songs such as Zvakaipa Itai Ndisiye.

Freeman is set to release the DVD project for the album with eight videos set to be dropped sometime next month.

Among the videos from the album is Siya, Zvemufirimu and Zvakaipa Itai Ndisiye and will also include the popular video Happy Time.

“Work on the DVD is almost complete. We are just working on the logistics for its release. We are planning to have its launch next month which will coincide with Freeman’s birthday. So it will be a double celebration,” said Watta.

Freeman is arguably a cut above the rest of other Zimdancehall chanters when it comes to videos, with quality videos.
