Cameroon: Biya Resists Meeting Bishops
As reported by Alafnet.com Wednesday July 5th the Minister of territorial administration and decentralization Emmanuel René Sadi will represent the Head of State at the opening ceremony of the 11th Plenary Assembly of the Association of Episcopal Conferences of the Central African subregion (Acerac) this Monday July 10 th 2017 at the Palais des congrès de Yaoundé.
French Daily Camerouninfo.net has this morning supported this publication’s report that president Biya who was expected to be a VIP Guest at the launching ceremony will be absent, citing a source at the Ministry of Territorial Administration and Decentralization.![]() |

The same source said , Minister René Emmanuel Sadi, has been appointed by the President of the Republic to represent him.
The prelates from the four corners of the subregion, Yesterday Sunday attended a pontifical Mass at the Cathedral Notre-Dames-victories of Yaounde.
From Monday morning until Sunday 16 July, the bishops will discuss on the theme “Ecumenism and Interfaith Dialogue in Central Africa”.
At the end of the pontifical Mass Yesterday, Msgr. Samuel Kleda, president of the Episcopal Conference of Cameroon and current president of Acerac said, “We as a church, want to initiate dialogue,we invite all men, believers and men of good will, to come together and dialogue and build a society where there is peace, or a society where Men Agree to live together. “
