Skimbo speaks out after being forced to lick Squanda’s foot
Local comedian and blogger, Skimbo- real name Tatenda Matika- says he is nursing a tongue infection after he was forced to lick Lady Squanda’s foot.
Narrating his ordeal to H-Metro, Skimbo said he is currently taking medication and hopes the infection is not anything serious.“I am feeling better now but my left ear is still painful and I now have an infection on my tongue. My tongue feels like I licked an acidic substance and I have gone to seek medical attention and I am currently taking medication. My prayer is that this infection is not anything serious, I am hoping the bacteria will be destroyed by the medication I am taking,” he said.
Skimbo went on to lash out at Squnda for having smelly feet and he suspects the chanter is a stranger to hygiene, judging by the stench which was coming out of her foot.

“I am not the only blogger in Zimbabwe, but I am different because I only focus on dancehall artistes. I inform dancehall music lovers on news related to the genre and dancehall artistes cannot be left out. On the Squanda incident, I don’t know why she reacted that way because I was not the one who broke the story, he story was already circulating on social media but for reasons known to herself, she decided to hire thugs to assault me”.
Skimbo said he was also taking legal action.
“I lodged a complaint with the police but up to now the police have not yet taken action. I am just waiting to hear from them for the way forward. What’s said is that I have heard through rumours that Squanda has left the country for South Africa but mhosva hairove when she comes back she still has a case to answer,” he said.
Though the incident has negative effects on him, Skimbo said he feels the attack was a blessing in disguise since he has now with other dancehall musicians. “This is something I had not planned for but organisers of the tour saw it fit that I replace Squanda and as we speak everything is in place for me to go to the United Kingdom,” he said.
